I was never one to take my eyes off my customers, but I did have to wear an all-black mask during my time at the office.
I had a new job, and after the first two weeks of work I was no longer a courier.
I was on my own.
This was no ordinary job.
I would sometimes spend hours in a corner of my cubicle, trying to find a door or a window.
As my colleagues watched, I would put my mask over my eyes and wait.
This time I was brave enough to do it.
I put my face in the glass and let it slowly close.
A little more than two hours later, my face was back to normal.
The mask had made me a courier again, and I had found the one thing I needed most in my life.
A new life.
For nearly 30 years, I was the courier for my own family.
I am now a grandmother and mother of four.
I now live in New Zealand and travel all over the world, making sure my kids have a safe, supportive and caring environment.
In this story I tell how I have worked to create a safe workplace and a more positive environment for my family.
